Led by Ash Gill, Project South brings more than 20 years of experience across the construction industry, with a career spanning New Zealand, Australia, Canada and the UK. Ash has worked across a diverse range of projects, from high-end architectural residences to commercial builds and retail fit-outs, collaborating with some of the world's most respected architects, including Olsen Kundig in the USA and Ian Athfield in New Zealand.
We understand that exceptional residential construction is about more than workmanship alone. It is about understanding the intent behind the design, anticipating the challenges of the site, coordinating the right people and delivering every detail with precision.
Now based in Queenstown, Ash and the Project South team focus on homes that respond to the extraordinary landscape of the Southern Alps. From steep hillside sites and alpine environments to complex architectural renovations.

Whether it is a new home designed around an alpine landscape or a considered renovation of an existing Queenstown property, every project presents its own set of opportunities and challenges.
Our role is to understand them, work collaboratively with the design team and deliver the project with precision.
Born and raised in Nelson, New Zealand, Ash developed an early appreciation for quality craftsmanship and the natural environment. His career has taken him across New Zealand and internationally, working alongside architects, designers and construction teams on projects ranging from high-end residential homes to commercial and retail developments.
Today, Queenstown is home. Outside of construction, Ash, his wife Katie and young son enjoy the mountains and everything that makes the region unique, from hiking and snow sports to exploring the local landscape and culture.
